Do I need to see a doctor for this?
There are a lot of situations when a face to face appointment with a doctor is not required. We provide a number of alternative ways in which a query can be dealt with.
Could you see our Practice Nurses?
Our practice nurses are qualified to deal with a number of problems. If you need one of the following please make an appointment with one of them.
- Blood pressure checks
- Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) monitoring
- Smoking advice
- Travel vaccinations
- Weight monitoring
- Well person checks
Could you speak to a doctor or Nurse?
If you have a query about a test result that the receptionist cannot answer then please make a telephone consultation appointment with the doctor or nurse who arranged the test.
Problems with a prescription
If you have a query about your prescription then please make a telephone consultation appointment with the doctor or nurse who issued it.
Previous medical problems
If you have a query about a condition you have had in the past then please make a telephone consultation appointment with the doctor.
If you have a query about a hospital consultation or a letter from the hospital then please make a telephone consultation appointment with the doctor who referred you.
Advice about a minor illness
If you just need advice about an illness then please make a telephone appointment or attend minor ailments at the pharmacy.
If you are asked to have a blood test taken then please make an appointment with our phlebotomist. If they are fully booked the receptionist will make arrangement for you to see on of the practice nurses.
If you need a dressing then make an appointment with the treatment room nurse, telephone 01324 815 105.
Completion of Forms
If you require a form completing, such as an insurance form then please hand it in to reception and let the receptionist know which Doctor you normally see. It will be passed onto them and completed as soon as possible.
